6.0l interchangeable>?
guys i found an add near where i live for a 2006 6.0L LS1 / LS2 SHORT BLOCK 364ci GM Motor - for $600
i have a 2002 Z28 with LS1 is the manifold and stuff interchangeable with the 6L? It has the FAST 85mm manifold, are the heads interchangeable at all? is it in my best interest to upgrade to 6.0L from my 5.7 or if im doing that should i just go a little further and get something bigger? etc...

LS1 is different than LS2. Is it a LS2 block??
If so go to stickies above this forum and there is a whole thread pertaining to LS2 swap. It speaks of parts required.
Yes heads are interchangeable (but you would benefit from porting yours if you want to benefit better from the extra cubes.)
LS2 came with 243 castings and an LS1 head has a slightly bigger chamber. 243 64.5cc and LS1 66.7cc.
The rest of the list such as KR sensors, harness, front cover etc... is in that sticky.

6.0 head castings (not 243/799) like 317s have 71cc chambers so they are usually used in FI applications (to lower compression and the fact that they are similar runner wise to LS6 castings and flow well). Some use them milled with smaller cams as a budget alternative to LS6 castings as well.
Another practice is to weld chambers to reduce size without milling and keep stock PTV clearance (Patriot used to do that and AI can work on them as well {like their 219cc 241 LS1 castings})
