General Maintenance & Repairs - Installed rockers & pushrods dry, now chirping noise

Not thinking of lubrication, I wiped the all of rocker's and brand new 7.425" Comp pushrods down with a nice clean DRY towel. Then I installed them and started up my 77k mile LQ9. Within a few seconds there is a chirping noise coming from the valvetrain.

So after the light came on in my head that the rockers & pushrods needed lubricated before installation, I removed the rockers & pushrods, soacked them in fresh oil and wiped a thin film of gease on top of the valve stems and in the rocker arm "divet" where the pushrod seats.

Fired the engine up and it sounded perfect. I thought everything was fixed. It ran for a about 30 minutes like that and now all of a sudden the chirping noise is back.

Notes: I did do my first cam install on this engine, Used LS6 cam, brand new LS6 valve springs & Comp Pushrods, and I did replace the O-ring on the oil pickup.

what could be wrong?
Did I ruin the valve steams from having the dry rocker's on them?
O ring not installed properly?
I seriously doubt I bought a engine with bad lifters (I know its still possible though)

thanks for any help.

Ok just took the car for a 10 minute ride. 4 minutes into the drive, chirping noise went away and stayed away. Oil pressure was at 50 while crusing at 2000rpm. Everything seems fine.

That was the first real test I did after the cam install. Maybe it just took awhile for oil to get to the rockers?

ok I let the car cool down for 2 hours, started it back up, chirping noise is there again.
At idle - The noise goes away after about 10 minutes or to operating temp. When I revved the engine by hand, you can hear the noise increase as I rev it. However the noise is not as loud as the first few minutes.
