Paint & Body Work - Repainting engine bay??

I have a couple of questions about repainting the engine bay of my SS. I painted it about four years ago and it really looks looks Luke shit know. I have stripped all the old paint off the shock towers as of right know. I don't know what type of paint to use this time. I am fine with the factory looking underhood paint, just clean looking. I have done the wire mod on bothsides this time. The motor is still in the car along with all components. I really only want to do just the shock towers right know. I will tape the rest off really good. What would he the best rattle can paint to go with? Do I need to lay a coat of primer first? Please help and recommend me a process and type of paint to use. Thanks any help would be appreciated.
