Corvette Performance - 99' Vette headers..something missing..pic inside

Hey everyone.

My friend has a 99' vette and it has a set of headers on it. On the passenger side there is a 1/2" or so pipe that runs off the header and was connected to another pipe toward the back of the head.

It was connected with what appears to be a rubber hose someone put on it. It was very hard and brittle and fell apart. It obviously doesn't look stock, just wondering if you guys know what's supposed to go there where we can get it fixed.

Usually runs to the EGR stuff for emissions.

I was thinking it went to the air pump but it was only the one pic, but ProMaroZ was in the ball park IMO.

That is indeed for the air pump. You can block off the outlets on the headers, remove the line and then remove the pump from behind the front part of the drivers side fender. You will also need to have the code disabled. Or find a way to repair the tube.

FYI the C5 has not had an EGR system. Pre '01 Fbodies did though.
