less than 114LSA?????? have any of you heard of a clearance issue with anything
less than a 114 LSA?
thunderracing said that was the smallest LSA I could
go in a Z06 with out having clearance problems and trashing the motor
anyone know anything about this?????????????????

You could have a 100 LSA and a tiny cam and it'd work. It sounds like you were specing out a large cam, on the edge, and thus they told you that a 114 would clear, whereas less would be too close to the threshold.

WHat size cam? What sized valves? Have the heads been milled? What gasket compressed thickness are you going to use? Stock pistons? ....
There are a lot of factors that can affect piston to valve clearance. You need to give some details before your question can be answered.

I'm not quite sure what his question was. Did he want to hear of actual catastrophies or did he want to know why it was that TR said what they said. I think JMX hit it on the head to which he was acknowledged with a polite "TTT and then some".

TR sells a 112° LSA version of their 230°/224° cam so unless you were going a lot bigger than that with milled heads I don't see 112° being a problem. Of corse your driveability requirements may also come into play. How high do you want to spin the motor???? What were the duration and lift numbers that you asked for??
