Default Metal found...any ideas?

This picture is out of a 2007 Corvette Z06. It had a cam installed by a local shop, along with springs and pushrods. I pulled off the valve cover and found the piece of metal on the right inside the head, but there is no visible damage. Then we pulled the plug in the pan, and on the left you can see another big piece of metal and a lot of shavings on it. This car only has about 20k miles on it. The cam is supposedly an LG G7X3 cam, and only made 500hp to the tire after a tune. The plan is to pull the springs off all of valves and see if anything is obvious. But, I'm curious cause I can't seem to identify what this metal would come from that would be inside the valve cover.

How about a picture with a pencil tip or something to give it scale. That would help.

Agree with the above. Check your rockers very carefully and make sure the valve guide seals are all intact.

That's a valve seal. 99.9% they were either put on wrong or not seated properly. Seen that happen more then once.

That's what I was thinking. Either a rocker is about to shed bearings, or a valve seal. Thanks guys. I'll update you and let you know what I find when I have time to dig in.
