Just swap to a DBC or DBW throttle body as needed. Which ever fits your harness. You will need to make sure the intake has the nutserts for the throttle cable bracket. If not just fab one or pick up a earlier intake for cheap.

Yes and no. Your PCM has to support the DBC some of the late truck PCM will not support it. So you need a PCM that will. Whats the ser. number of the PCM you have?
Also you would need to add the IAC and TPS wires to the DBW harness.

Why not just save the trouble and run the DBW???

So the truck DBW throttle body will bolt right up to the LS1 intake why not use it.

Guess I could just do that. Was wanting to run the LS throttle body so I could run a bigger aftermarket one. I would have to swap out the throttle pedal as well to a new DBW style. 207656 are the number the guy sent me on the comp.

Agree with BO105. If you have a DBW harness I would stick with that setup. You can repin the harness for DBC, but as stated, you will have to make sure you have a PCM that can support the IAC. Also, remember that the truck intake is going to have different injector connectors than the car one, so that would be another harness change you will have to make.

i guess ill wait to see if the comp can handle the dbc an if not ill just keep it as DBW, when i do that ill have to replace the throttle pedal to work with the DBW (motor is going in a 63 nova)
Jon- would be the cost be on switching out the injector connections?
thanks for all the help guys!

PCM's 2003 to 2007
SERV. NO.- HWD NO.
12576106 - 12570558 (IAC DRIVERS INSTALLED)
12582605 - 12580786 - 2003
12586242 - 12583660 - 2004
12586243 - 12583659 - 2004 (IAC DRIVERS INSTALLED)
12589463 - 12589162 - 2005
12589462 - 12589161 - 2005 (IAC DRIVERS INSTALLED)
12589463 - 12589162 - 2006
12602802 - 12589162 - 2006
12602801 - 12589161 - 2006 (IAC DRIVERS INSTALLED)
12602801 - 12589161 - 2007 (IAC DRIVERS INSTALLED)

Which ever numbers listed above that have the IAC drives above will work with DBC.

One other thing if you worried about TB size just look for a 90mm truck intake off a TBSS or Gen IV 4.8/5.3L intake they will have a 87mm TB to start with and flow as well as the old LS6 car intakes. You can also use the truck DBW throttle body that comes on them you just need a aftermarket plug converter box for the later TB to earlier one. Also those injectors are 30# units most apps and will plug right up to the old truck injector harness. Just be aware that around 2009 GM changed MAP sensor so you have to mod those intakes to fit hte earlier MAP not a show stopper though.
