Default Motor mounts for LTx --> LSx conversion?

I have already done a bunch of reading and have come across contradictory info (some say they work, some say they have tried it and it doesn't)

So, I am throwing this out here hoping to get some ground truth to avoid buying parts that won't work/don't fit.

I am thinking hard about putting an LSx motor in my '94 Z28. I have an aftermarket LT1 K-member already (Pro Fab if that matters), are there adapter motor mounts that really work that will allow me to install an LSx motor?

I read about one member who tried it and despite the alleged "adapter" mounts, it didn't work.

If there is a set out there, that would be great as it would allow me to avoid purchasing an LS1 K member. Thanks in advance.

I was going this route too @ 1 point, but found a stock k member locally for dirt cheap. Being that you had already shelled out a grip a cash for the tubular k I know you dont want to go that route. In the research stage of my LT to LS swap I found a place that had plates for this swap. Google 'dirtydingo' swap plates. They even have sliding and adjustable plates. Sorry to the powers that be if tey are not a sponser.

Thanks man. I actually have a spare stock LS1 K member, but can't stand the thought of making the car heavier by putting it in place of the Pro Fab tubular, so I am going to check out your suggestion.

The normal swap plates don't work in this case.. I think it was a 1" forward mount that is needed..

I think it was your thread I read where you tried it unsuccessfully. I'm going to call the source mentioned by jlaudioholic and talk to them... see if they have a set that will really work.
