i have a 95 z28 and when i am driving in a higher gear and put the pedal down a little it starts to buck like its misfiring is this a serious problem or is it normal?

Lol...you mean lugging the engine in 6th gear at under 1600 rpm and giving it too much gas causing bucking? If yes, then yea...completely normal for a LT1. (The LS motors don't do this however...they will pull smoothly but slowly from 1000 rpm). Either downshift or don't give it too much gas.
If it bucks under NORMAL driving; (not trying to hyper-mile it in 6th). Then look at the wires/opti.

30mph in 4th....that's very low RPM wise to be mashing the gas pedal; this your first stick shift lol? You need to learn to downshift or wait till 2200+ RPM to mash the gas without bogging/bucking....that or your wires/opti. Or there's always the LS conversion lmao....they don't mind being lugged around as much under 2K RPM

It's normal mine has always done that if trying to go up a steep hill in 5th/6th gear or being lazy and not downshifting to pass on the highway...LT1's DO NOT like being lugged. They are quite happy once you get the RPMs up over 2K though or put 4.10 gears in the rear.
