I got my pcm tuned for 36lb injectors but forgot i still had my stock injectors in the vehicle. Started it up a lot of popping out of the exhaust at like 1000rpms car still won't idle so i changed the set screw and threw my 36lb injectors in and adjusted the tps..... Need less to say car now won't start and the oil presssure is extremeley low on crank so i checked my oil and it smells like gas i was wondering if the bigger injector tune was causing the stock injectors to run really rich or if i need to look elsewhere to figure out why the vehicle has fuel in the oil now

First, I'd change your oil asap. Gas in the oil = hurt engine.

As for the problem, sounds like an injector might be leaking/stuck, or tune is spraying WAY to much fuel.

Someone else will chime in and give a better answer!

i'm changing the oil today but i don't want to change it and not know if that was the problem so in a little bit im going to go lift the fuel rail up and see if any are leaking.

mods are: comp 280 xfi cam, 1.6 rr, le2 heads and intake, 58mm throttle body and 36lb bosch injectors, long tube with ory no rear o2's

Id change the oil before cranking it again lol but thats just me, Id prefer to dump oil a couple times vs rebuilding engine.

I'd start with checking for leaking injector, its easy and free lol

wasn't planning on cranking it just turning the key to see if the injectors are leaking

Look elsewhere. Everyone is thinking backwards here so far; stock injectors with a 36lb injector tune will cause LESS fuel to be supplied than needed.
Look for a leaking fp regulator dumping fuel into the intake - see if there is fuel in the vacuum line to the regulator.

there is no fuel in the line but the line has a faint smell of gas nothing to strong. I figured that would mean less fuel but wasn't sure that is why i asked here

Exactly. If your PCM was programmed for 36's and you have the stock 24's in there. It would run lean not rich.

thats what i figured, going to check for leaky injectors but i don't think thats it either cause i just put these in last night....

I dunno about backwards thinking, he had the car running with the stock injectors, and when he put the 36s on it wouldn't run and oil smelt like gas. Sounded like something fubar with injectors....its what I would have checked first.

I wasnt saying it couldn't be anything else

the car wasn't running well witht he stocks either it started once and that was it, changed oil today though pulled out plugs all 8 were fuel fouled cleaned them up and installed, with the set screw adjusted the car idles no but rough sometimes low give it gas and it goes up close to what the idle should be at, also full throttle i get up to maybe 1200 rpms im suspecting the fpr to be bad fuel filter fuel pump and injectors are all new

with the smaller injectors and bigger injector offset maybe made them go rich cause bigger injectors have slower action so you make up for it in the offset. Just a thought.

i was thinking something like that that the smaller injectors were pumping mor to try and make up the loss but who knows i still got other kinks to work out
