10,000 thanks to Ellis Groo (2fst4lv) of Speed Secrets for doing a great job on the tune. Just cracked 600 through the auto, on sticky rubber with big CVs. Thrilled, to say the least. He's even repping his bullet shirt. Time to go fast, 9.99 n/a or bust.

Yep, more of a finish tune then a retune since we ran out of dyno time last time.

The scales are different on left/right side of graph. Here's it scaled normally (not sure why the shop scaled it that way)

Car was originally a TR6060 manual.
The 6L80, however, is junk imo. Horrible gear ratios as well.

Nice curve, any reason you did not use SAE and used STD correction instead on the dyno? Stout numbers either way.

Looking to replace the mamofied fast102 with a LS7 holley hi-ram this winter, and have vengeance retune the car to match. Hoping for another 20-25 on top

Its tsp EHT .675 springs, shimmed to their specs. Nitrided LS7 rockers with trunion upgrade... nothing else works with these heads. I might end up with a larger .700 spring, but its not an overly radical cam lobe (LSL). That particular pull was the only one with that odd dip up top.

Wow, nice. You are inspireing me to follow through with my 429 project. It will be with cathedral port heads though. I hope you get your 9.9. Please post up when you get your Holley Highram. Can't decide on mani right now.

Some changes coming: Bigger headers (2" + merge collectors) and a holley hi-ram intake + retune at vengeance. Stay tuned.
Please keep us posted on the Highram. I am very curious to see how much tq you loose. I am going to be putting a like sized motor in a TBSS so TQ is a must. The Holley is just so much cheaper than the FAST and looks so much better.

Ill take the winpep file and overlay the two, so you can see the powerband difference. Believe me I'm just as curious as everyone else. The Mamo ported 102 was the best of the best, so it's quite an interesting comparison

The Winpep would be great. That will tell the real story at WOT.
Tony is one of the best. He can work magic with a FAST intake. The only issue with dyno numbers only is that they don't tell the driving story. So your impressions of every day situations would be great too. I am guessing that you loose two or three inches of runner lenth with the Holley but I don't know what that will translate into as far as more power and less tq. I would love to see it hold it's own.
DietCoke

Yes. I have a large converter, so WOT any gain over 4800 is extra speed for me, which is where I expect the holley to surpass the FAST. Will certainly post driving impressions, but its fair to get the car tuned first.
For sure get it tuned. Not a fair comparrison if not. I am looking at running a 3,600 stall but I am pushing around 4,800lbs vs. your 3,400. Just want to make the right decision and you have the closest build to what I want to do.

Very impressive numbers through a power robbing transmission!
I am kinda with Chris 1313 here, with those 1.8 rockers and the LSL lobe I think that is why you saw that dip at 6700-6800, but it could just be coincidence. I like a LXL or extreme RPM lobe for 1.8 rockers and large solid stem valves. What valve material?
DietCoke
11-25-2012, 04:15 PM
Hollow intakes + stainless exhausts. Lighter then the stock stuff. Will potentially revisit springs for something stiffer if it's an issue.

I think you'll possibly be OK with where you are now. 5/16" push rods right? Might look into 3/8" if it will fit or 11/32". Just a thought, stout combo!!!
DietCoke
11-25-2012, 05:48 PM
3/8 pushrods. I'd go 7/16 pushrods, but they won't fit.

Getting it ready for the redyno
Cool, I am still in for the results. The Hiram did pretty well on a mild 402 in a TBSS and held it's tq up top. The graph was only from 4,000 on though so it didn't tell much about the normal driving and normal sized converter area.

Good numbers. How much compression and timing?
Locked converter? Single or multi disc?
Thats impressive, right around what a stock gt500 makes!
GT500= power adder, right?
