Default A little help ????

Getting the last few parts I need to get my 68 Camaro LSx'd

Now with cost being a factor........I will only be running a waterpump and alternater....What bracket/s do I need ??? It will be a stock LQ4 WP (04 truck type?)

Unless someone has a cheaper route I want to keep my CS130 alt. since it's only a few months old.

I know the WP turns backwards from the "old school" I used to have.......

Soooooooo....help ?

You can run your alternator in the F body position if you just add some spacers to move the bracket out so that the alt pulley aligns with the crank pulley. Must be 100 pictures on this site how to route the belt for just an F body alt and WP. All you need is the F body alternator bracket and a half to 3/4 inch of washers to act as a spacer.

Here, this article has pictures.

You can also buy a Kwik performance bracket to run a alt only. Might do some searching, some guys have had bad luck with the Kwik performance stuff.

Shoot. I just read that article linked above. It has half a dozen options for putting a CS130 alt on a 6.0L truck block.

If the truck alt bracket clears the hood, use it in stock position with just a shorter belt.

Thanks guys.
I didn't know about the F-body set-up or CS130 links.

With the truck accessories you can reroute the belt to delete the PS pump.

Belt duralast p/n 760k6, Gates K060760, Dayco 5060760, Goodyear 4060760

Not my picture but like this
