Default Llumar Air Blue 80 tint; large pics

I thought this may help some people since the heat is on the rise. I put Llumar's Blue Air 80 tint on my windshield today. Its a ceramic tint, and of course the 80 means it allows 80% of the light through. I've read Blue Air is legal on the windshield in some states. Here are the specs: http://www.llumar.com/pdf/en/LLumarAutoSpecsUS.pdf

The pics below I tried to get the three comparisons. The tint on the door is 15% CTX from Llumar as well (ceramic). From what I've seen so far it does have the iridescent effect that occurs when wearing polarized sunglasses, just like other ceramic (and possibly metallic?) tint. Blue Air does not seem to have a strong iridescent effect as the other tint, but that may depend on the shape of the windshield. Blue Air also looks a little wavy in a spot, but the shop said that will go away in about two weeks. He said it takes a lot longer to dry, but it will look just like normal tint.

Idk if it's just the pictures causing the effect, but that looks awesome on the highway looking at the sky. It is much more blue and clear. I'm very interested in this if it doesn't look like rainbows with my polarized sunglasses on.

The camera overexposed the color a little as the sky is not that blue. The tint itself is blue, but you will hardly notice it. So far the rainbow/iridescent effect does occur with polarized sunglasses, but it is very minor. The worst I've seen was parts of the sky and road were purple at one point lol. My other tint you can see starbursts, lines, ect. but not the Blue Air. Before purchasing this stuff I was debating on purchasing non-polarized sunglasses, but I see no reason to. I'll try to see if I can get a pic through my sunglasses today. Here's two pics of it at night.

I know what the SS is getting tinted with now....

I know you posted pics, but how does it look to YOU at night? Did you notice a difference at all? It looks GREAT to me, but I know "in person" can be a different story.

The tint is acting as a filter for the camera stepping the overexposed sky down.

So far I really like it and I'd say it reduces the temperature just as much as the rest of the tint. I'd say with everything tinted its probably 15* cooler after sitting outside all day. I still like normal dark tint more just for the privacy, but I don't want to deal with tickets and night driving ( I drive everyday at night). I have not noticed any difference at night while driving lighting wise. The glare has not seemed to change, but that could also be because the dried water spots from the shop. The shop said not to clean the windshield for a few days. After I get a week behind the wheel I'll have more to say about it. I have also noticed the wavy spot is now gone.

The second picture is the closest. I have 15% all around with 5% on the hatch:

Man. Cops here would probably have a field day with that though, the more I'm looking at it.

I'd like to know if there is a special procedure at installing this llumar tint? No one in my area has it available but I have a guy who has tinted multiple windshields and he said he would tint it if i provided the llumar air blue. I'm just worried it is dofferent to install and he messes it up and I'm put whatever i spend for a sheet of it.

What happened to these pics? Do you still have them?

Sorry, I do not. If you really want pictures I could take some.

It's been 5 years, never been pulled over for it and I still like it. I've wanted to do my Firebird but I'm afraid the installer might accidentally break the dashpad during install.
