I had a killer opportunity to trade the Z28 for a 2002 Vette, 50,000 miles six speed no mods.
This car is incredible I must say.
I will drive it a while and sell it.
The experience with the Z28 was a great one, but it was time to move on.

IMO bad move. Those are no where near as cool as a f body and IMO they suck to drive.
I would much rather not drive them. My dad had one and I just never liked it. SLow, shitty *** IRS suspension and seen everywhere.
NOw on the other hand 50s-60s vettes, in a heartbeat I would own one

As a comparison to an LT1 f-body, David made the right move. The C5 is better in every way, with a ton more potential.

I dont see the big deal here. Frankly a modded LT1 car is a hard sell these days at anything over face value. With the vette he can turn around and sell it for low to mid 10s

THIS!!!!!!!!!
There is a guy in the classifieds on here with a green LT1 Trans Am, runs tens all motor, has been in GMHTP and he can't GIVE it away at $10,500.
Full pop list NADA is $24,000 on this Vette with it's low mileage.
Loan value is $20,000.
I "think" I did the right thing.
The LT1 Car is with some friends that know how to take care of a car like that, they will enjoy it and not destroy it.

Yeah, I know what you mean about it being hard to sell a LT1 car. I got lucky when I sold mine for 10k. Mine was nowhere near as setup as Joe's car but, sometimes you just gotta find the buyer that simply loves the car. I think you made a nice trade, love the vette!!
