Not gonna happen. I have a cutlass with a 6.0, vic Jr and 850 holley. When my hood shuts, its bout 1-2.5 inches away from the carb. I NEED A COWL HOOD. Or something.

Monte Carlo SS' may have more space though.

I think every car has more room than these...ha. The SS hood has a small cowl, just not sure if its going to be enough to clear the carb and hat. I will find out eventually...ha...its whats going in.

Not unless there is a creative carb hat maker out there, then it would starve the engine i think.

This is what i did to the carb hat in the 85 TA to make the Formula hood fit with a air cleaner:

A Victor Jr won't even clear

I've got a vic Jr in my 4th gen. I had to cut a large amount of the cowl out. The biggest space problem I have isn't really the hight; I can space the hood up if need be. The problem is how close the air cleaner is with the cowl and windshield area. I threw a plenum on to see if it would work and the only issue was the hight. I decided to go with a different set up. But the plenum did clear the windshield. So if you don't mind spacing the hood up or cutting the hood where need be you'll be good to go.

FYI, this is on a WS6 trans am so I get a little more hight with the ram air hood.

L92 vic jr with Accufab 4150 and Extreme velocity elbow don't clear. Already cut out as much of the hood as I can and it won't close.
