Have a 95 LT-1 motor (stock heads) and trying to install the Patriot extreme kit 8501 (no need for machining) according to them. I'm trying to install the black spring base and it wont fit over the valve seal seat...the internal diameter is too small. Ideas??? Did they send the wrong kit, can I just use the factory thinner base or what?

You need to pull the valve seals off, put the spring base on then install a new valve seal.

Valve seals are already off. The bases don't fit over valve seat seat.

Sounds like they might have given you LS1 seats on accident.

LS1 seats have a slightly smaller inner diameter to them that won't allow them to fit on LT1 heads. Give Patriot a call and explain to them what's going on and I'm sure they'll help you out, good group of people to deal with from my experience with them.

Yep he has .500" LS1 bases. Call em and they will get them out.
