Paint & Body Work - Rocker panel damage

I've got a few dents in my rocker panels on my 97 z28 30th anniversary from the previous owner... the damage isn't severe but it bugs me enough to want to fix it.

How difficult is it to remove and install new rockers? Do you have to cut them out and weld new ones in, or is it simple? Brand new rockers only run about $17 each side...

Any info is appreciated!

I would like to know to i just had an accident and scratched and dented my drivers side i want to know the process of removal if you hear anything let me know please!

theyre pretty much welded in place not really possible to remove them without a repaint
