#1 remove "air" from passenger side exhaust manifold and move it aside carefull not to dmg the gasket.
#2 remove coil pack assembly on 98 models the packs mount seperately newer than that the whole pack system sits on a rail.
#3 replace all plugs on passenger side and replace
#4 put everything back on, note that on 98 models the packs and harness can be installed backwards so pay attention to the markings on the harness.
#5 driver side remove "air" tube and set it aside carefull not to dmg the gasket.
#6 remove all plug wires
#7 remove and replace plugs
#8 reinstall "air" tube
done.
set aside at least 4-6 hours for this job and make sure the car is cold, or you'll be sorry.

also note that the passenger rear plug or plugs is easier to grab from the bottom of the engine if you still have A/C

No need to be careful of the AIR gaskets, they are cheap so just replace them IMO.
No need to remove the coils on a '98, it's more work then it's worth and you have enough room to get at the plugs with them still in place. On a '99+, the rail really needs to come off if you want to get at #8 from the top.
Not sure why people think it's easier from the bottom. IMO it is not. Exhaust is different on '98-99 vs. '00+, so this may account for the different opinions on this.

On my 2002, its always easier to remove the coil rail and like said I use various sockets, extension and wrenches depending on which cyl I am on and AIR gaskets are cheap.

^^^ I swap out my plugs without having to remove AIR or Coils... I also believe it's easy to take the back passenger plugs out from the bottom.
