New best on the 600 - I can make this thread because I'm a mod :)
Rode the bike 2 hours up to Lebanon Valley Saturday for a test and tune. I knew the DA was bad and you don't get many runs on a Saturday, so I didn't expect anything great. I just wanted to have some fun and get some practice in since I haven't been to the strip since last year.
First pass up I surprised myself with a 10.97 with the DA reading 2266 and a new best 60' of 1.80. Second pass I backed it up with a 10.94 as the DA kept rising to 2536. Made a third pass that was a throwaway, then made a final pass before heading home and got a new best of 10.85 with the DA reading 2436. Also got new best 1/8 numbers on that pass of 7.02 @ 104.
Overall, a great day of racing. The bike is still a bone stock 2007 GSXR 600 with no mods, no strapping, no stretching or lowering, no tricks. It tipped the scales at 425 lbs Saturday and 595 with me on it fully suited (5' 11"). I even run it on 87 as that's what it was tuned for from the factory that year. I don't even fold the mirrors in.
Here's the slip (with some sort of alcohol race car that demolished me in the left lane). Still can't wait to get it down to NJ for a good track in good weather, especially now that I've run this quick at LVD in this kind of DA.

Considering I've been at Atco when the DA was -2,500, a +2,500 DA at LVD is not too great. Then again, I've been in +4,500 to +5,000 at LVD, as well, so it could be worse. SRZ and I are planning on going July 7th so we can run the car and bike in terrible weather and see how bad they run when it's super hot/humid.
But the fact that I hit 10.8 at LVD in a +2,436 DA means I'm likely gonna go stupid fast on this bike when I get it down to Atco late Fall this year. I hope to beat the magazine time of 10.75, but I guess we'll see what happens.

My fiance, on the other hand, went 15.6 @ 84 on it her first pass ever on the drag strip. I had previously taught her to launch in a parking lot but this was her first time to the strip. Pretty freakin awesome if you ask me. She weighs 40 pounds less than me so she's only gonna go faster once she gets some more seat time in. I could see her touching a 14.9 pass on a cold day because of her weight. She's certainly got the tuck down and the launch was impressive for a first ever pass.
Mod up?! There's still plenty left in this little bike with more seat time and better weather!

But considering I went 10.85 @ only 126.9, my thought is that they're either correcting their numbers somehow, or they have a lighter rider at a good track/weather which would account for the much faster trap, but he can't launch as well as me. If I picked up almost 6 mph in my 1/4 traps, I would be going much more than a single tenth quicker, which is all I need. I think good air in NJ will be enough beat the magazine time. Maybe then Suzuki will hire me to test their bikes.

Last lap of the session, final passing zone before the straight (between turns 10 and 11) i clipped the edge of the track going for an aggressive pass on an R1....2 bent rims and a ruined rear tire.
On the plus side, i got some decent air.
PSM i put an arrow at the spot so you know where i'm talking about. R1 went far to the right early, i went for it anyway and got pinched at that tiny kink along the edge of the track.
EDIT: This is not my vid, but at 1:22 the rider goes for a pass at the same spot and gets close to the edge. I got pinched a bit and clipped it

those are some good times, a lot better than most 600s I see running. I got some 1.6x 60fts on my stock 09 zx6r with some 13000 rpm launches so you can deff drop that time
