assuming the motor is on its way out....pass side has nice hi pitch hum to it and works great.....drivers side however has a real deep groan to it, and every now and then while going up or down, will just almost instantly stop.....window always goes slwoer than the pass side......then when stuck, wont go up or down unless i leave it aklone for a while....then will go up.......so assuming the motors shot, whats the part number of the drivers side window motor for a 2000 camaro? if looking for a used one, will any 97-02 work?

Same motor is used for numerous applications. It is how production cars are made

Be careful - you want the Dorman motor design. Its the only one that's updated since the OEM design from the 1960's!

I still have yet to hear of a Dorman motor failing. Its also 100% new. Most of the others are remans and will just crap out on you like the old one did.

Same motor can be had for $28 at autozone instead of $26.79 + shipping. http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-742-101-Camaro-Firebird-Safari/dp/B000C16XPI/ref=au_pf_ss_1?ie=UTF8&Make=Pontiac|52&Model=Firebird|595&Year=1995|1995&carId=005&n=15684181&s=automotive

Remanufactured motors at Advanced or Autozone have lifetime warrienties on them for as long as you own your car. I've had one on my 99 TA for 3 years (Summer driving) and it works like new.

Not a wise choice, but you could get lucky, I suppose. (Search for reman window motors on this site.) I'm 0-6 on remans personally. IMO - you are lucky to get 3 years out of one.
