General Maintenance & Repairs - Crazy windshield wipers

My wipers sometimes will work normally and other times they will stick all the way up or halfway up when I shut them off. Why ate they doing this? Fuse? Motors?

had this one before. ....get a new motor with controller board ...a royal pain to install.

currently, my wipers will not turn off. this is probably a bad wiper switch in the steering collumn - also a pain to swap out.
