heres the scoop
04 5.3 put in comp cam 595 lift , starts & runs great idles great , take it for a drive drives great lots of power etc ..
drive it across freeway & it starts to tick loudly from drivers side. pull valve cover everything seems good.
if i let it sit & cool off it starts & runs great & quiet.
im stumped!!
any ideas??

i've heard things like it's the injectors really going at it hard, it's the valves being snapped back quickly etc... mine ticked like a **** after my heads and cam, that being said, i spun a few rod bearings last week, but i think it is unrelated.

Any chance you are hearing an exhaust leak up around the manifold or down pipe?
