Drag Racing Tech - Another Grant wheel and clock spring question.

I need to get back in there and fiddle with this stuff again. The bezel on my grant adapter rubs the column a bit and it makes driving the car very annoying.

Is it necessary to completely remove the clock spring because mine in still in there?

Will that effect the turn signals at all? Will they go back to neutral after turning the wheel?

I guess after that I can just trim the bezel or column cover edge.

This is almost something I wish I didn't do, unless I can get it straightened out to have nice smooth steering again.

I pulled the clock spring out of mine and the signals still function as intended. The bezel rubbed on mine as well. To fix it I set the bezel on top of something round(may have been a roll of tape) with the backside facing down and tapped the center down with a hammer. This offset the bezel toward the wheel without the need for trimming and repainting.
