Is it an upgrade to replace the rear hatch small 4 in speakers with some 5x7. Let me know your experiences with this
Thanks!

The general consensus would be not to spend any time or money substantially improving the rear channels as they are intended to only provide a "fill" effect. Generally speaking, you want your main channels in the front, and the (supporting) rear channels to provide a little bit of a dispersing effect to make the front right and front left appear to blend seamlessly across the soundstage.
Now I used the word "generally" because lots of people put big-ass full-range cones in their sail panels instead of mid-bass subs, with lots of power and are happy with it. If that's the direction you want to take, go for it. If you want a basic fill effect, some 4" 2-ways or components will be fine.

Yeah not worth changing, I would just put better speakers in the doors and sail panels.

I put some Sony 3" x 5" back there to round out the sound. I also have HD radio so I like to listen to music. If you are a Thumper it doesn't really matter.
