Generation IV Internal Engine - GMPP Ported ls3 heads with GMPP hot cam or ASA cam?

Hi everyone,

Currently leaning towards installling a hot cam or ASA cam in my LS3 and was just wondering if either of the above cams would benefit from installing the GMPP ported ls3 heads?


The car is a HSV E3 Maloo (ute version of the pontiac G8) and will keep the original factory bi-modal exhaust. Everything else on the car is stock besides an Over the radiator air intake.

any info on the above would be great...

Do you have any exhaust mods or are you keeping it stock?

If your going to keep it stock go with a hotcam, but if you have some long tube headers then I'd get the ASA cam. Both would benefit from LT's though, they sure are choppy. But there are other cams out there that are way better with the times though.

Check out the GM crate engines. The LS376/480 uses the Hot cam and the LS376/515 uses the ASA cam.
