Congrats!
If you wind up closing on the house before it's complete I would make sure to go back behind the contractor doing the work and make sure they're cleaning up as they should. You'd be amazed how much junk gets swept under the rug (no pun intended) with lazy laborers that don't want to clean up after themselves.
Good luck.

The house will be complete next week. I go to settlement on the 31st of July.

I know how you feel about the anxiety. The wife and I are in the process of buying our first house, and I am paranoid about it. I hope everything works out for you.

Thanks bud and you too. We signed the purchase agreement at lunchtime today after the builder approved our demands.

Congrats! Just moved into my in May. Was nervous as hell, but now I sit in the back yard after work and enjoy a cold one with a huge cheesy grin as I look at my kid play in the yard and it's mine!! Love the weekend yard work and putting time and effort into something I own(well, me and the bank) Enjoy!!!!!!!
