Default Vortech 2v vs HC TA

After one of my buddies finished his setup I called him out for some friendly runs. I felt like I was the underdog because my sucky gears and my car being heavier.

Ms3 cam and 243 heads. I need some taller gears, every hit he would start to pull until I would hit power and we would pretty much stay like we were. He wouldn't pull anymore and I wouldn't gain.

That's my plan. After some gears and some weight reduction (remove tools from the trunk) there will be a rematch.

Good runs, fast 2v. Tell your friend to get a better bypass valve.

If that is just a vortech bolted on a 2v you better go check your ****. You should've walked him like no tomorrow.

That flutter sound is air hitting the compressor wheel, which it shouldn't.

I honestly don't know. All I know is he has a vortech. My car didn't put much power down, I'll be swapping the cam sometime this year, I'm really not happy with the setup. Plus I still have stock injectors, and exhaust and other little things. And my tuner also said it wasn't putting power like an ms3 because it only made power till 6k and actually made some torque unlike the ms3.

I knew something had to be up with it. With that h/c you should walk the dog on a typical boosted 2v.

Man i was expecting a rape scene by the LS1. My friend raced a vortech 2v with his bolt on z28 (lid, catback, long tubes, y pipe) got beat by the same margin as this LS1 lost.

I'm not disappointed. Just pretty unsatisfied by my setup. Idk where I went wrong.

I was also expecting to at least slowly pull but guess not. I'll see how it goes with my gears

What's up guys! New here, I'm the owner of the Mustang. Manny invited me over lol.

As far as mods on the 2V it's got a Vortech supercharger pushing 10-11lbs on a cold night. Stock bottom end, stock heads, cams and intake everything is still stock. It was tuned at GTR HiPerformance in Rancho cucamanga on 91 octane. No big crazy #s lol pushing low 400 to the wheels. Manny's car is fast so I knew we were going to have a good race from the get go!

If you keep that cam, fly cut and mill the heads. Big cams like compression.
