The Lt1 and LS1 are different. I got an LS style for my 96 TA and it didnt fit. had to get an LT1 style and add a tab like OP did.

Dont want to kill the sale but its better if he knows for sure ahead of time

+1 on the LS1 being different. If this fit an LT1, I'd have bought it weeks ago.

This is a great deal for someone with a 98-02 car!!
