Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - new mods help please!

I have a 2004 gto and im looking to get headers and exhuast, i wanted something loud like an slp loud mouth with longtube headers but was wondering on the performance and sound

You might pick up a few extra whp with catless. You have to decide if it's worth the hassle. Do you have emissions testing where you are?

There's this thing you can do, it's called SEARCHING.

On a mildly modded bolt-on car, going catless might net you 2-4 extra hp, not really that much. The SLP Loudmouth catback is loud, like ear bleed loud. Undoubtedly you will frighten small children and horrify mothers. The drone at highway speeds is unbearable. You won't be able to listen to the stereo. Save up money for tickets because you will attract the attention of the police. You'll need to get tuned after installing headers.

I noticed a pretty big difference in performance when I had my headers and magnaflows installed..I got a tune as well though.

LM's sound like shit.

i went with stainless works headers, catless mids and spintech. i pieced my exhaust together and its loud as shit. do some research and find witch one you like the best and look around the forums and see what other people are running

Get the LTs with catless mids and see what you think about the sound then. You'll get a big bump in performance from the LTs plus the deletion of the resonators and cats when you do it. The '04s had by far the best tone of any exhaust system and you'll be louder. Stupid loud is well, , , stupid.

Stainless Works with chambered mufflers

I sure like my Magnaflow catback. Some will claim it's too quiet, but it's a lot louder than stock without being "stupid" loud or raspy. No drone at all either. Exhaust sound is rather subjective and different people like different exhaust systems.
