edelbrock ls engine controller rev limiter question
#2
Good question. I have read a dozen threads about that box but have never seen a for sure answer.
The MSD box comes set at 5500 RPM. But since the Edlebrock box has no way of adjusting the rev limiter I hope they didn't set it that low. I think they might have it bypassed.
There will be no question when the limiter kicks in. You will both feel it and hear it.

No rev limiter for Edelbrock.
Here's a quote from MSD tech support:

1.) The Edelbrock box doesn't have a rev-limiter or rev-limiter capabilities.
2.) The Edelbrock box doesn't have the board(s) required for the programming functionality.
Keep in mind that this box was built to Edelbrock specifications. I really couldn't tell you why they opted to have it made as a non-programmable unit. To put it simply they gave us the plans, we built the box. My best guess is the ease of installation.
Thanks,
