So my 05 has been in the garage a couple days because I knew it was leaking coolant. I figured it was the radiator but I needed to drive it to work today but then I came out to a puddle next to my tire F&$K. I am ordering a radiator today my question is how long should I expect to spend on changing it? I am not a new to working on or building cars but just trying to see if there is something that is going to make this a full day or weekend project.

Looks pretty straight forward to me. Should slide up and out without too much removal. I wouldn't say more than 2-3 hours if taking your time.

6 10mm bolts on the top, couple on the bottom connecting to the A/C condenser. unplug the fans..
To get to that point, all intake ducting, MAF sensor out of the way.
Lower valence needs to be undone and removed to get to the lower hose and drained. (dozen or so plastic clips)
Have a beer while doing it

Try some alumaseal powder additive. It stopped my rad leak completely.

Yeah, only took me about 2 hours to pull the old one out and swap the new one back in. Pretty straight forward like the others said. Take your time, it's not a hard project.

Cool that's what I was hoping. Got a new stock radiator from naps for $190 wanted the difference is too much for now.

Wanted the aluminum but the difference was too much is what it should have said lol

As long as you get rid of the car before the next 100k (which is how long plastic-tanked radiators last) it's not a bad deal ;)

I did the same thing and got mine from NAPA too. It wasn't worth the few hundred more to get the aluminum one, plus I was needing it by the next day.

Ya I figured the money I save with the stock radiator can go towards upgrading my pads and rotors.

Would you mind getting the measurements of the radiator for me while you have it out? Thanks!

Probably already have the measurements but just in case I got 27 w and just about 21 h at the highest point

It should take you no more than 2 hours....

Here's all the fasteners you'll need. You can skip the part about changing the balancer.
