New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - tune question

I currently purchased a 00 Trans am. It has a diablo tuner. Don't really know how to mess w it so I haven't moved it. I do feel that it can be running better. Does anyone use the same tuner that can help me out?

I dnt like handhelds. Ppl will tell you to do bolt ons then get a dyno or mail tune from Frost. Dnt bother with the handheld

It has a couple of mods. N the tune was already installed.

I agree, shit can the handheld and get a real tune.

The stock tune will work good until you start adding long tubes and better intakes.

Dont mess around with the diablo un less you really know what your are doing, the diablo is really only good for like down loading pre made tunes and then installing on your car, you can access certain parts of the tune as far as fuel trims and what not but like i said if you dont know what your doing you can really screw your engine up, my advice is to reinstall the stock tune from the diablo and sell it, and get a mail order tune from frost if you only have bolt ons, and when you step up to a cam and heads then get a dyno tune. The tune thats on your car from diablo is probably a conservative tune not really doing you alot of good and probably causing you to run rich and hurting your fuel consumption. the only thing i like about the diablo is it can read any ses light you get on your car.

I have 3.73 gears. Long tubes, full exhaust, ported throttle, 3500 stall. Thanks for all the advice.
