,Hi Guys

I have a L92 motor on an engine stand looking for a shop with the right tools to change out my VVT camshaft and check the piston to valve clearance. I am in Orange County. The motor has the heads, water pump and intake off. I have all the parts including gaskets, phaser limiter and new bolts. Looking for expertise and labor.

Do this yourself. It is not hard at all. I think it would be more work getting the engine to a shop than stabbing the cam in, especially since the heads are off and you don't have to worry about lifters falling down.

We did wind up doing it ourselves. Was not that bad. Just took our time and followed the instructions. Bought the flexplate locking tool from a member here on the board for $35.
