Default Aluminum 5.3 block, how much are they?

I've been reconsidering my next engine build and have been thinking hard about an aluminum 5.3 block as my foundation. I'm just not sure how much they're selling for. If they're reasonable I'd like to buy one.

I checked eBay but all I saw were complete engines and they were very high. That's why I wanted to ask on here.

I've got an iron 5.3 in my car right now but I was thinking about going to an aluminum 5.3 and turbo next.

Looks like there's a pretty big difference in price between the iron and aluminum blocks. Bigger than I would have thought anyway. Are there any major differences in the rotating assemblies of the newer aluminum 5.3?

The main question is do you want to save 80lbs?

An LS2 block if you aren't going to resleeve it allows for a wide valve selection (size) and has been low 8's with a stock crank, good rods/pistons, and quality thick deck aftermarket heads. (ie TFS/AFR/MAST etc)

5.3 bore is too small for a decent size intake valve to not be shrouded.

I really like the ls2, but normally the prices I see them for are more than I'd like to pay. Also they're normally sold before I even have the chance to make an offer.

It looks like I'm still looking... I'm really interested in the best deal I can find on any aluminum 5.3,6.0 or 6.2 at this point. I would consider an iron 6.0 also
