My Camaro Is pretty much stock I currently just had the tranny rebuilt with a hardened sun shell, rev kit, shift kit and better seals. I'm wondering what is the best Set of gears for me to use, this is my daily driver but Id still like to have fun.

What do you have in there now? Most get 3.73 istalled in the a4.
Get a stall!

If its a m6, it only comes with one set. 3.42s,and they are great already. If you go to 3:73s, youll surely eat a lot more gas when your on the pedal but it'll feel quicker. If you go higher, like 4.11s, you'll launch a lot quicker, however, you'll eat more gas. If its an auto, then it either came with 2.83s or 3.23s. You'd have to look in the drivers door and check the rpo code. The code will tell you which gears came in your car. Standard is the 2.83s, and the 3.23s were an option that you paid for generally.

More information needed. Is this a daily driver? Engine mods? What are you trying to do with the car?

3.73's is a common gear for A4 cars and will still be street friendly for daily driving conditions.

3.73s you will notice a difference if your upgrading from 3.23 or 2.73 especially when getting on it from a stop, but its going to hurt gas mileage a tad since you will be at a high rpm when cruising

For a all out a4 car you go 4.10's. If its a DD and you have 3.23's I vote you stay with them and get a nice converter. Or put your money else where.

I just went from 2.73's to 3.73's and I went from 27 MPG to 23 MPG. With a speedo fix and my rev limiter moved up I picked up right at 7 tenths in the 1/8. Only other mods are DR's and a 3200 stall. No lid, no tune, and no exhaust. 9.0's stock to 8.0's with the gears and converter. Its my DD and its got 241K on the original motor and trans.

If you have 3.23 gears already then I wouldn't change a thing in the rear end. A good torque converter will be a much better modification for the money.

I agree, especially if its a street driver. I'd save the gears until you mod for more top end.
