Default Weird buildup inside lower coolant hose !

Drained my coolant and pulled my upper then lower hoses tonight, looking at the lower hose there was some weird looking crap inside. It was also built up around the thermostat housing. It looks like sand but its not...

Im running a mezeire ewp with a 160 thermostat if that means anything.

Any ideas what the hell this is ???

thats the DEX
it looks just like sand, You need to flush all that crap out
I had it all over the place in my cooling system, thank god it never screwed anything up
My sister-in-law wasn't so lucky. Her Jimmy had ~60k miles when the waterpump went out and overheated the engine in the middle of nowhere, thanks to that garbage

k, guess I'll be flushing the cooling system out - thats just screwed that dex changes from a liquid to a solid like that.

Thanks for the info, thankfully this vehicle is rarely driven.
