New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - Exhaust Tip size?

I am going to be putting on a 2.5" Dual cat back exhaust with flowmaster super 44's just curious what size tips I should go with for the loudest deepest sound.

I believed a 3 inch out the muffler to a 3.5 inch tip sounds and looks pretty good! Any bigger just looks like over kill in my opinion.

if your talking about purely just the exhaust tip, the difference between 2.5 inches and 3 inches will not be heard. if its the muffler, then bigger is louder.
