website didnt say but tis a bias ply tire and it is DOT legal just wondering if it requires tubes or not.

No, they do not.
When you go to have them mounted, the tire shop will probably bring to your attention that on the sidewall it does state that it is a tube type tire.
They may then tell you that if you run them w/o tubes, that you will be having to add air every couple of day's, as they will lose pressure thru seepage.
What I did, for extra insurance, was get some dawn dish washing soap.
The day before I had the tires mounted, I put some in a pan, soaked a towel in it, and then swabbed the entire inside of both tires with it.
After the soap dries, [ over night ], go get them mounted/ balanced.
I read about this trick on a forum a while back, and it works great.
I DD on my my bias ply MT/ET's, and the only time I lose pressure, is when I air down for a race.
