Most of the catbacks will give the same performance gains, so pick the one that sounds the best to you. www.ls1sounds.com is a great site, but if you can try to listen to them in person. Also if you want to spend a little more, the GMMG is $700 but it is the best sounding exhaust IMO. Then you could also consider duals, there is so many choices. Good luck.

Try to find an SLP dual/dual for sale on one of the boards. I've been
looking lately and have seen at least 3 of them. I'm getting one of
them, and my buddy is getting another that I didn't see. Still at
least 2 more out there for 2-300 bucks.

Texas speed rumbler
You should go to texsas speed and Look at the rumbler . It was 225 bucks and it is the best sounding Catback I have ever heard on an LS1 . I have got nothing but TONS of compliments on my car since I put it on . It is smooth with no rasp whatsoever . Check it out , The car they used as a donor dynoed 14 HP to the wheels with this catback .

Depends on what you want. I have to Magnaflow and it is a nice mellow throaty sounding exhaust that is not too loud or droning. From what I have heard, the SLP Dual/Dual is similiar. I have heard that the Magnaflow flows a little better. Then there is the SLP Loudmouth system, and its basically just piping and it is loud and unrefined...but some people like that. Depends what your going for. I also have the Corsa on a Trans Am and it is an extremely nice system. Both cars are stock exhaust besides the catbacks. I hope this has helped a little bit...regardless, do get a stainless steel muffler/catback. This is very cruicial if you live in any temperate zone. Also, if you go into the "External Engine" forum just below, JRP put up an excellent post that was made a sticky about exhaust components. This could help you decide if you wanted True Duals or which type of catback.
