Carbureted LSX forum - can a Super Victor work on LS3 heads?

Just like title says, can a Super Victor be ported to LS3 sized ports?

No. You need the Mast/Cary Intake.

Mabe add a 2" spacer to a VicJr..... I guess if you're only looking for plem volume ?

The LS3 Victor Jr is really closer to the LS1 Super Victor rather than the regular LS1 victor jr. Plenum size, height, runner volume, ect.

Thanks, the All Pro style intake is just a little too much $ for my build. I would love to see some side by side photos of the 2 intakes if anyone has them.

The reason the LS3 is called the Victor Jr is because it has the 4150 flange IIRC. Like previously said, its closer to the super. Eric L

If you actually have seen all 3 intakes, its bullshit.
The L92 victor Jr is NOTHING like the LS1 SuperVictor. I can get pics later tonight.
The L92 Victor Jr is bigger than the LS1 Vic Jr but not much.
For those that say its close to the SuperVictor, well thats just what edelbrock wants you to think. It just simply is not. The LS1 SuperVictor is also a 4150 intake so that excuse is thrown out.
The super vic is 7/8"-1"taller than the LS3 Vic Jr. The Super Vic has longer runners and a larger plenum area as well.
Ive owned all 3 intakes. I am definately disappointed in the LS3 not having a super victor version, and the hype that "its almost the same as a super victor but just has a 4150 flange and o-ring gasket grooves".
Ill be switching to the Mast intake in the off season as I will need to modify the cowl and windshield to make it fit.

Well, I have not used a cathedral supervic, but I do have a LS3 vicjr. It worked well enough to make 648@7500 with a minor cleanup, injector boss removal, and a 1" open spacer.

650HP is more than I'm looking for. This is going in a LS swap to a C3 Vette with a big block hood. I have a TIG welded and the tools needed to rework intake, I just wanted to know if runner casting was thick enough to allow port work. Maybe I should look at Mast or All Pro intakes. Looking at photos of the All Pro and Mast intakes it seems they're pretty similar to one another, any one had both in their hands?
