just a quick and simple question or two,
WS9=V8 firebird
Y82=trans am
W66=formula
my title say firebird formula but my rpo codes are WS9, Y82, WS6.
so the car is a trans am ws6, but the title goes off the WS9 code so firebird formula is what shows up on title instead of firebird trans am? is this how everyones title is?
also WS6 is never on a title right?

As long as you have it insured correctly, then I would not worry.

DMVs from various states are inconsistent in how they describe the car on the title. Regardless, they (as do insurance companies) key off the 8th character in the VIN# (engine ID), not any RPO codes. Sometimes they go from the owner or dealer's verbal description when the car is first titled. All the DMV or insurance company cares about is if its got a V6 or a V8.
