New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - Shifting out of Overdrive

Sorry if this sounds dumb but just wondering, i have an 98 A4 z28 and was just wondering if im cruising at 60mph in overdrive is it safe to shift out of overdrive into just drive or will it wear down the tranny.

Its safe. Shouldn't harm anything.

i do to slow down or if i want my revs to come up for better acceleration.


my trans isnt stock though.
