Safety feature question!!!!! does anyone know if there is a safety feature that shuts off the engine when the airbags are deployed? accurate information would be a world of help. if there is such a system on a 2000 z28 then im buying my car back from insurance

haha id say u have a good guess. and well even if you can ride around with them deployed i just want to know if it shuts off when they go bang. and well...... how do you?

Using logic & the fact that I seen cars being driven for repair after the air bag was deployed.
When air bag gets deployed, the light or atleast the code for deployed airbags gets set.
That code could be used to cut the power to motor in case of an accident, but a car would be disabled until that code was deleted just to drive the car to a body shop etc.
SO i doubt it. atleast not on a 10+ year old gm car.
