Carbureted LSX forum - help with nitrous tuning

Looking for some help on what plugs should i run,plug gap,timing,ect.Never have sprayed a ls engine.Not sure what ppl are doing diffrent than hitting the old school sbc with nitrous.Im using a Edelbrock perfomer rpm kit gonna start with a 100 shot and try to work my way to a 200 hopefully.Its a cam only carbed ls3 with a gmpp single plane and a pro-systems 1000cfm 4150 carb.Cam is 590/600 lift about 235* duration iirc.
Its in a 2930lb fox with a th350,10" 4000 stall,4.10 gear and 275 hoosier radials.Using the 6012 msd box of course.Was running the timing at 35* total but backed it down to 33* recently.It seems to make its best hp/track times at 35* but i was told i may need to back it down a bit to start nitrous tuning.Any help would be greatly appreciated

Leave timing where it was fastest all motor. Then tune the ignition to pull a couple of degrees of timing for every 50 HP worth of nitrous injected. You will do this with the timing retard that is built into the box and wire it to the power side of the solenoid, when the activation of the nitrous is powered with 12 volts, the timing will be pulled from the engines total dropping you to the safe timing that you need. I would recommend a window switch but if you are comfortable with the ability to accidentally hit the rev limiter and backfire, don't worry about it.

Plugs, I used BR7EF NGK brand. Gapped at .035.

I also run a separate fuel cell with a separate fuel pump to be dedicated to race fuel to be injected with the nitrous to further prevent detonation.

I run a 200 shot and use Autolite AR103 plugs and run a total of 26 degrees for 3 years no trouble.....the key is work your way up don't rush every engines tune up is a little different whats good for mine might not be for yours, but this should be a more than safe starting point for the 100 shot.

A wide band is a good thing as well.
