I am going to be purchasing a Katech Shifter but my stock shifter cup is worn out. Does anyone know of a source for this part or have one that they are willing to part with? GM part# ?

Here is a pic of the nylon cup. It is (2) pieces.

there is a vendor out there with brass inserts. I think you can google it. otherwise, no other choices.

I was able to purchase a set of poly ones from a member that had two sets made.

You are both looking at the wrong part. Look further up the shaft just directly above the rubber boot. There is a nylon ball on the shaft of the shifter that rotates in the 2 piece nylon cup.

It's not sold individually by GM, the shifter is one piece. Maybe a used shifter on E-bay possibly? Haven't heard of another source, if you find one I'd be interested myself!

I want to bring this thread back and ask whether Brian or Stageup have anything available on the shifter cup front.

I have an extra set. I'll bring them to my die shop this week and see how much to have some replacements made. I have never seen the outer housing wear out though. Usually I see the ball wear out first. I will be sourcing some of them also.

To be honest, I've been thinking about designing an entirely new nylon and metal cup assembly to raise the shifter into the console without any further modifications. This will raise the bottom of the aftermarket short shifters and keep them from hitting the top of the trans and driveshaft couplers.

Well, if you have an extra, I'll buy it from you.

I received a new nylon 2 piece shell from 07CTS-V. When I installed it in the steel cup and bolted it down the shifter still had some play. I discovered that the 2 piece shell moves around side to side and up and down. I tried putting a spacer under the shell, this helped a little. I was thinking of taking it apart again and using a two part epoxy glue to fill the voids. Anyone else consider this?
