Paint & Body Work - Hood repair can it be fixed?

I have a friend that has a hood from his firehawk that he wrecked and he wants to sell it to me. Can some of the bodywork experts tell me whether or not it can be fixed? Thanks.

If your not fixin it yourself find one either ready to paint or is the color you need to begin with.

Well I am getting it for $100 I am hoping another $100-$200 will get it fixed.

I bought a damaged ws6 hood with a 4"x2" section taken out of the front and I'm almost finished with it. I'm no pro, but I have probably 6+ hours in it already reconstructing the SMC, sanding, filling it in, sanding, etc.

I don't think any body shop would charge less than $300 to fix it though

its very fixable but at a shop you are gonna spend at least $400 if not more, that isn't including painting

yea thats fixable its gunna take work but you or someone can fix it i fixed a firehawk hood for a guy awhile back and it was worse than that i bought a sheet of smc. came out nice the inside wasnt great but the guy had a fire hawk hood

Honestly for the price I would try my hand at repairing it myself. Just buy some matt and resin from your local body shop store and if it doesn't turn out the way you want to bring it to a professional. Doing things yourself is always more rewarding in the end =)

Go get some fiberglass and try it!!! You can't really mess much up. Get a little angle hand grinder from Harbor Freight for like 14 bucks and fiberglass and grind until it gets right or really close. Then use lightweight body filler and 80 grit sand paper to get it all shaped up.
