Anyone ever have the tension on the flapper door not seal all the way ?

When I fill up, gas spills out. Do I need another fuel tank or is it repairable ?

98 metal tank.

Tryin to understand here,

Mine's bent. I was putting STP Fuel Cleaner in and the bottle got stuck and long story short, the metal door thing got bent. My gas leaks out when I fill it up all the way and make a turn that makes the car lean to the gas side. I just only put 10 gallons in at a time now lol.

Sorry, let me explain, after filling up, gas will spill out the fill neck when making a turn. I thought there is some kind of flapper door inside the tank that keeps this from happening. I don't overfill, when the nozzle clicks, I remove the nozzle. Car shows no codes and it has a brand new GM gas cap for a 98 Camaro.

Gas is getting past your gas cap?

Look at vent tubes on your tank not operational
