General Maintenance & Repairs - Camaro wont start

Theres a Camaro 2001 for sale real cheap $1500. He says it won't start due to security failure? Havnt talked to him to even see if he got the title but he says it's a security system failure and wont start. Any ideas?

Has title and keys 165k miles auto car exhaust. That's it. Says security light comes on and won't turn off electronics work just won't statt

If thats the only problem and he has the title and the owner it might be a cheap buy, assuming its a LS1 as thats pretty much a roller price, however I wouldn't take his word like its the Gospel as the seller may just be trying to get rid of a car that has a lot more issues that worth fixing himself.
If you do purchase it and you still can't fix it, assuming the engine is in good condition you should be able to make more than you paid for it parting it out.

You can easily bypass it....

...and if you go to look at it, ask him for the key and put it in the ignition for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, try 3-4 times to start it, hopefully it should start. This is a quick fix that sometimes works once in awhile.
