First time ever to a strip

First time ever to a strip
I went to the strip for the first time ever lastnight and the car didn't do to bad but thought it was off a bit. I got four passes in with three passes at 14.7- and one 14.8- (rev limiter) all at 96.-mph. The problem I was having is with staging the thing would hook real good but would bog down then go. I was loading to 2200rpm then someone said I should try 2500rpm but after reading another thread they were saying 1800rpm. Is this my problem was I over reving? The car I completely stock except air filter. Please be kind to this first timer.

sorry bro but thats a shitty time, takes practice and 4 passes isnt really enough. every track is different , my best advice is to be soft with the launch and slowly start from a higher rpm every time. you want to spin as least as possible.
im not a pro by any means and have a 2.0 60 foot on v12s,my goal is 1.8

It's an 08 GXP. The traction control was off and was not spinning the tires. All my 60' time were 2.3-. When I would launch it would go then bog down like when you have a manual in the wrong gear then it would get up and go.

My guess would also be the diff anti-score kicked in. I have practiced launching many times on my "private" race strip...actually a secret nearly deserted road and/or freeway on-ramp ...with my G-tech meter (yes, yes, I know: that wiener G-tech meter LOL but it is a good indicator of techniques that work and those that don't).
When T/C was turned off during a launch and I veered even a bit off the straight line, I would get that bog. It would indeed slow down my times by .8 seconds to 60 and the 1/4. With T/C on I wouldn't get it unless I was taking a sharpish turn at half to full throttle.
My best results came with T/C on and backing off when it starts to engage until I'm past the "spin zone"...around 40MPH...then pinning the petal to the floor.
Practice, practice, practice...

If you had the TC off it is def the anti score kicking if which means you were spinning a bit. Next time your at the track try leaving at idle then every other pass get on the converter a little more until your 60 ft gets slower. Also ease into WOT to reduce wheel spin.
