63 Biscayne engine transmission recommendation I have a 63 Biscayne that I'm going to be converting from a 454 to an LS series in the future. Looking for engine and transmission recommendations. My goal is around 400 HP with an automatic transmission.
Trying to keep this as inexpensive as possible so, that pretty much rules out a new crate engine.

LQ4 with a 4L60E is a good start. Just an FYI, 4L60E is a tight fit in that X-Frame, I ended up going with an aftermarket cross member in our swap.
